• Brownsburg Parks seeks community input to aid future planning decisions

Brownsburg residents will have the opportunity to give their opinion on the community’s parks and recreation services in a survey that will be conducted over the next three weeks.

A random sample of 1,500 Brownsburg households will be selected to answer questions about what types of recreation programming is important to them and the degree to which their recreation needs are currently being met.

The Brownsburg Park Board will use the survey and recent focus group results to set the priorities for future improvement of parks and recreation facilities, programs, and services in its 2013-2017 strategic master plan.

Brownsburg Parks Director Philip Parnin said, “If your household is selected for the survey, it is very important to us that you participate. It should only take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. The survey results will help Brownsburg Parks take a resident-driven approach to making decisions that will impact our park system’s future.

“After all,” Parnin continued, “the park system belongs to the taxpayers, so residents’ needs and desires should drive those decisions to enrich the community and positively impact their quality of life.”

All survey responses will remain completely confidential. For questions about the survey or more information about Brownsburg Parks, contact Philip Parnin at 858-4172.
