The Indianapolis Motor Speedway named Brownsburg as a finalist in its

“Back Home Again in Indiana” community decorating contest celebrating the 100th

    anniversary of the Indianapolis 500.

The Town of Brownsburg partnered with the Brownsburg Chamber of Commerce to

highlight our community’s rich racing history and many connections to the Indy

500 with the theme “Capturing Memories, Honoring Traditions.” View photos and

video of Brownsburg’s entry at www.facebook.com/BrownsburgBackHomeAgainInIndiana.

Twenty-six Indiana cities and towns staked their claim as the most

Indianapolis 500-spirited community in the contest. A team of judges reviewed each

of the participants and narrowed the field down to ten finalists. Fans will

now help determine the winner through online voting.

     Vote for Brownsburg at  www.IndianapolisMotorSpeedway.com/BackHomeAgainInIndiana.

Fans may submit only one vote per day per email address, but can vote for

Brownsburg every day through May 24.

The Speedway will award $25,000 to the winning community. If chosen as the

winner, Brownsburg will use the prize money to help fund future community

improvement projects through the Brownsburg Community Matching Grants

Fund in the Hendricks County Community Foundation.

The top 10 finalists are: Remington, Terre Haute, New Haven, Albion,

Gaston, Brownstown, Brownsburg, Batesville, Hagerstown, and Zionsville. The

winner will be announced at an awards presentation during American Family Insurance

500 Festival Community Day on Wednesday, May 25.
