Brownsburg July 4th fireworks display cancelled
June 28, 2012 No commentsThe Brownsburg Lions Club Fourth of July fireworks show has been cancelled for 2012 due to high fire risks. Town of Brownsburg and Fire Territory officials made the decision Thursday, after Hendricks County Commissioners and Fire Chiefs Association issued a county-wide fire ban earlier in the week.
Based on the current dry conditions and the weather forecast for extreme heat, officials cancelled the public fireworks display in the best interest of the community, so everyone can enjoy the Independence Day celebration safely.
Other festivities for the holiday week are still a go. The Lions Club Extravaganza annual carnival at Arbuckle Acres Park runs Monday, July 2 through Saturday, July 7. Wrist band nights are July 3, 5 and 7, with all you can ride for $15. The 4th of July parade will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday on Odell Street.
