Brownsburg High School to host free pops concert
April 27, 2011 No commentsMusic lovers can enjoy an entire afternoon of free music performances and special events during the Brownsburg Instrumental Music Department’s 30th Annual Band Pops Concert this Sunday.
The event will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Brownsburg High School Varsity Fieldhouse, 1000 S. Odell St., with a box lunch provided by the Brownsburg Band Boosters for $5. During the meal, the Brownsburg High School and Middle School jazz bands and percussion ensemble will provide entertainment.
The featured performance will start at 2:30 p.m. with more than 500 band students from grades 6-12 performing.
Some of the selections include Neal Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline,” Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up,” the theme song form the TV show “Hawaii Five-0″ and music from the band Coldplay.
