• Brownsburg Education Foundation Holds Surplus Sale

    The Brownsburg Education Foundation will host a cash and carry sale of computers, books, electronics, furniture, and other items declared as surplus by the Brownsburg Community School Corporation. The one day sale will take place on Saturday February 22nd from 8:00 until 10:00 AM at the Harris Academy, 725 South Green Street in Brownsburg. Enter at Door #7.

    “Each year we get wonderful support from the community to come out and purchase the surplus equipment,” states Les Mongell, BEF Board Member and Surplus Sale Committee Co-Chairman. “All the money made from this sale goes directly to our scholarship and grant programs used to help the children of Brownsburg.”

    Some of the items in the sale include desktop and lap top computers, office furniture and equipment, televisions, overhead projectors, copier, weight lifting equipment and many other items. All items are first come first serve; and all sales are final cash and carry, No checks or credit cards.     Proceeds from this sale will benefit the children of the Brownsburg Community School Corporation by helping BEF provide grants to teachers for innovative educational projects, scholarships for graduating seniors, and fund educational materials and initiatives for BCSC students.
    The Brownsburg Education Foundation (BEF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was formed in 1987 and one of the first local public school foundations in Indiana. The Foundation’s mission is to encourage and support creativity, innovation and excellence to enhance the educational community of the Brownsburg Community School Corporation. The Foundation’s impact over the past two decades is nearly $1,200,000 awarded in grants and scholarships.
