BEF Celebrated Monte Carlo Style at the 3rd Annual All in for Education Gala Supporting Education Programs and Projects for the Children of Brownsburg

The Brownsburg Education Foundation (BEF) held the third annual All in for Education Gala on March 14, 2014, generously hosted by Don Schumacher Racing at their headquarters in Brownsburg.  This event brought patrons together to honor, celebrate, and support the importance of education in our community with fun and festivities, demonstrating we are “All in for Education!”

Attendees celebrated Monte Carlo style with dinner catered by Dawson’s Too, a program led by emcee and BCSC Communications Coordinator Vicki Murphy, a silent auction, a live auction led by Jack Lawson of Lawson and Co. Auctioneers, official Gala photography by Kim Berry of Captured Memories Photography, special diamond raffle from exclusive Gala diamond sponsor Nelson Jewelers of Brownsburg, and Monte Carlo gaming activities.  BEF was proud to have Bill Estes Ford as the Presenting Sponsor and Adelsperger Orthodontics, Falcone Powersports, Floyd Custom Builders, Hendricks Regional Health, State Bank of Lizton and Stutler Dental Care as Salutatorian Sponsors.

Gala co-chairperson and BEF Board President Angela Falcone was pleased to see so many new faces with almost 100 additional guests participating in the evening’s festivities.  “I feel like the attendees were really having a great time socializing and visiting with one another.  It was a special night for celebrating education and supporting the foundation.”

Some new activities at this year’s gala included ceramic bulldogs painted and decorated in various themes by Brownsburg High School student artists that were auctioned during dinner, bringing in over $1,900 and an instant giving campaign that raised over $2,500 that evening to purchase outdoor science and art equipment for the Brownsburg Early Childhood Center.

This year’s gala raised over $50,000, surpassing totals from the previous two years’ galas.  BEF expects to continue this fun and successful event each year, as it has become one of the foundation’s significant contributors to its fundraising.  The money raised at this event will further enhance the educational opportunities for all students of the Brownsburg Community School Corporation.

The Brownsburg Education Foundation (BEF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was formed in 1987 and was one of the first local public school foundations in Indiana. The Foundation’s mission is to encourage and support creativity, innovation and excellence to enhance the educational community of the Brownsburg Community School Corporation. The Foundation’s impact over the past two decades is over $1,200,000 awarded in grants and scholarships. Support for BEF programs includes gifts from BEF Corporate Champions Bill Estes Ford and Stutler Dental Care and Corporate Partners Adelsperger Orthodontics, Don Schumacher Racing, Floyd Custom Builders, Hendricks Regional Health, Scotty’s West Side and Yankee Candle Fund Raising.
