• Brownsburg Council members Sawyer and Kendall still pleased with Town Hall meetings

    May 31, 2012 No comments

Next Tuesday is the monthly Town Hall meeting in Brownsburg spearheaded by Brownsburg Town Councilor Rob Kendall. This will be the 5th Town Hall meeting this year.Kendall of coarse plans to be in attendance along with Council President Dwayne Sawyer and invited town officials. Kendall and Sawyer say they are pleased with the way the Town Hall meetings have been going since they started in January.

Sawyer: I’m overjoyed with it. The Meetings have been great. It provides an opportunity to come and speak. The goal is for our mouth to be closed and our ears open. We have had several people come and talk and express their oppositions and opinions in a different format than the town council setting.

Kendall: I have no problem coming on these shows or appearing at the town hall meetings. I have nothing to hide from the taxpayers. If you’re confident in what your doing and saying, you’ve got no problem showing up at the 7:30am in front of a group of people answering those questions. I do it, Dwayne Sawyer does it, our town manager is there, and my hope is that eventually the other town council members will join us. If not, that’s fine. We are about progress, moving this town forward and about saying ‘what was done in the past, that didn’t work. New dawn, new day, new Brownsburg’.

The meeting will take place in the Town Hall at Eaton Hall at 7:30am June 5th in Brownsburg. Councilors Sawyer and Kendall will appear on “Plain Speaking in Brownsburg” this Saturday at 10am here on XRB.
