• Brownsburg and Avon extend voluntary watering ban through Friday

    Yesterday’s brief rain did little to alleviate the dry conditions plaguing the area. That has led Town of Brownsburg to extend its request that water customers stop watering their lawns through Friday, July 29, due to the recent lack of rain and extreme temperatures.

    The town of Avon is also requesting its citizens to do the same as

    Indianapolis Water is asking customers not to water lawns and to conserve water in other daily activities such as washing dishes or clothes, or bathing and brushing teeth.

    Cutting lawn-watering activities will help the utilities maintain adequate water pressure for customers and firefighting activities. Both Brownsburg and Indianapolis Water will reevaluate the requests to cease all lawn watering on Friday.
