• Brownsburg 61, Plainfield 33 – Boys High School Basketball

    Brownsburg raced out to a 15 point lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back as the Bulldogs defeated visiting Plainfield 61-33 at the Varsity Fieldhouse last night.

    Brownsburg led 28-12 at the half and led by 21 points going into the final quarter.

    The Bulldogs had 12 players make a mark in the scoring column led by Evan Finley’s 11 points.

    Only three Quakers dented the scoring column with Josh Courtney scoring 13 points, Marcus Mershon had 12 points and Colton Jones contributed with 8 points.

    The loss drops Plainfield to 1-17 on the season with only two more games left on their regular season schedule.  Both of those contests will be played at home at Plainfield starting with Friday night’s game against Franklin before the Quakers wrap up their regular season next Friday with Columbus East.

    Brownsburg improves their record to 5-12.  The Bulldogs have three more games on their docket before the regular season ends next week.  They will play back to back games this Friday and Saturday with the first game Friday at Lafayette Jefferson.  It will be senior night on Saturday in the home regular season finale as the Bulldogs take on the Manual Redskins.
