Two people were arrested after robbing a man early Tuesday morning.

23 year old Frank Perkins of Brownsburg and 21 year old Shannon Sweet of Beech Grove were arrested after they allegedly robbed Sweet’s boyfriend and took off in his car.

According to an Indianapolis Metropolitan police report, just after midnight Tuesday morning, a man says he was with his girlfriend at his home in the 3300 block of Tansel Road when a man entered the residence with a handgun.

The burglar fired a gun once and pointed it at the victim’s head. The burglar took the man into a bedroom and demanded all of his money.

Shortly after, the girlfriend grabbed a small security lock box from under the bed that contained $790, a back pack and keys to the house and to the man’s car. The girlfriend and the burglar got into a black Pontiac Grand Prix and left.

The victim then called police. Minutes later, police found the vehicle in the 7200 block of West 10th Street. During the traffic stop, the driver got out of the car and fled on foot. Officers caught him shortly thereafter.

Both were taken into custody. Perkins was taken to Wishard Hospital after he complained of chest pain.
