• Avon Police seek suspect who robbed pizza parlor at gunpoint

An armed robber got away with an undisclosed amount of money after tying up four employees at an Avon pizza parlor Saturday night.

The robbery took place shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday at the Little Caesars Pizza on US 36 in Avon.

The store’s manager unlocked the door for what was supposed to be the last customer of the night. Surveillance video shows the suspect, described as a young black male who was wearing a mask, pull a gun, demand money from the safe and order everyone to the back of the store.

The suspect then forced the employees to tie each other up using zip ties. Police say the crime takes robberies in Avon to a new level.

The store workers say the robber threatened to kill them and demanded they lie on the floor. The store manager got loose after the robbery and called 911.

The robber left through the store’s back door, ran straight to a ravine and jumped a wooden fence. The store’s manager was able to give police a good description of the suspect.

The suspect was described as a black male about 5’6”.

If you have any information on the identity of this suspect or have any information that could help solve this case, please contact the Avon Police Department at 317-272-4485 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS. All callers shall remain anonymous
