A man and his 9-year-old daughter were injured on Saturday after an all-terrain vehicle crash in Clinton County.

Indiana conservation officers said just before 5 p.m. they were dispatched to a rural area near 5500 North 700 East on reports of an ATV accident with serious injuries.

When officers arrived, they found 42 year old Roger Suhre of Forest Indiana, pinned under a Yamaha Blaster at the bottom of a large sinkhole.

Investigators said Suhre was driving the ATV through the field with his 9-year-old daughter riding on the back. Neither of them was wearing a helmet.

Lt. Dan Dulin said the girl suffered a fractured collar bone and was hospitalized, but later released.

Suhre was rushed to St. Vincent Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said Suhre admitted to drinking alcohol prior to the crash.

Official results from Suhre’s blood test were not released, but officials said they believe alcohol played a factor in the cause of the crash.
