• After the holiday’s what to do with tree and old electronics?

    January 02, 2013 No comments

Need to get rid of your Christmas tree after the holidays? Brownsburg Street Dept. chipper crew will pick it up for you! Just set your natural tree by the curb from now through Jan. 25th. Make sure all of the ornaments and lights are off of it.

Town of Avon will have a free drop off location for real Christmas Trees through January 11th in the parking lot by the Avon Town Hall Park Shelter. Signs will direct drivers to the right spot. The real trees need to have decorations removed from them and fake trees are not accepted. The trees will be mulched for reuse.

If you received a new TV, computer or phone for Christmas you can recycle your old one on Jan 12th at the Town of Brownsburg’s Post Holiday Recycling Event. The Hendricks County Substance Abuse Task Force will also be accepting unwanted pharmaceuticals and the Solid Waste District will also make document shredding available. The event runs from 9am-2pm at 1500 E. Main St in Brownsburg.
