Indiana Flower & Patio Show enthusiasts can start to embrace spring March 1-2 by watching over 220,000 sq. ft. of barren concrete floor begin its transformation into magnificent outdoor living spaces during free pre-show tours at the Indiana State Fairgrounds West Pavilion, 1202 E. 38th St.

The popular tours, complimentary of HSI Show Productions, are offered at noon both days, just one week before the show officially opens Saturday, March 8 through Sunday, March 16 in the State Fairgrounds West Pavilion and Expo Hall.

Spectators can walk through the foundation of the show, and watch as the “Personal Space” themed showcase gardens take shape with heaps of dirt, giant boulders, lush trees and large-scale hardscapes.

Reservations are required by calling 317.576.9933, or e-mailing info@hsishows.com . Fairground parking is just $5 per car.

In addition, show fans can follow the progress of the build by viewing the Garden Cam on www.IndianaFlowerandPatioShow.com. The Garden Cam is a series of time-lapse photos showing how organizers convert a vacant building into a flowering space with 40 stunning showcase and exhibitor gardens.

Advance sale tickets for the show are $10 and available now at all Indiana Marsh Supermarkets. Tickets also are available on the show’s website.

General admission at the door is $13 for adults, with children 12 and under free. Downloadable $3 discount coupons are available on the show’s website.

Show hours are Monday through Wednesday 10 am to 7 pm, and Thursdays through Saturdays 10 am to 9 pm, and Sundays 10am to 5pm.

Senior Day is Monday, March 10, when showgoers 65+ with proper ID are admitted for $9 per person.

Parking is $5 per vehicle in convenient, well-lit Fairgrounds lots. Free shuttle service runs continually from parking areas to entrances of the West Pavilion and Expo Hall.
