Amo’s annual fish fry is back for the 62nd consecutive year.

Festivities are Thursday through Saturday and hosted by the Amo Volunteer Fire Department and Cascade Youth League.

Highlights include live music from 6 to 10 p.m. all three days, by the band Southern Bridges. Bingo also will be offered every evening.

A free bicycle helmet giveaway, sponsored by Craig Kelley & Faultless LLC, is set for 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Two bicycles will also be given away.

A parade featuring Indianapolis Indians mascot Rowdy starts at 2 p.m. Saturday, followed by a kiddie tractor pull and a waterball tournament hosted by Hendricks County fire departments at 3 p.m.

Activities culminate with a fireworks show 10 p.m. Saturday. Children’s activities, including a bounce house, blow-up obstacle course, game tent, and dunk tank, will be open all three days.

And, of course, there’s the main aspect – the fish. Food service starts at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and noon on Saturday.

Non-perishable food donations will be collected all three days for the Amo Mustard Seed Food Pantry.
