Registration is underway for Brownsburg Parks and Recreation winter and spring programs. Brownsburg Parks has many of its popular programs returning again this year, and is offering a few new exciting opportunities for kids and families.

Youth Sports: Start Smart basketball and soccer are parent/child classes that teach kids ages 3 to 5 the fundamentals and team aspects of the sports. Start Smart golf will introduce kids ages 5 to 7 to beginning golf. A new 10 and Under Tennis program will use special equipment, shorter courts, and modified scoring tailored to kids ages 5 to 10. Classes will be held in March and April.

Aquatics: A new winter/spring open swim program runs Feb. 11 to April 29 at Brownsburg High School Aquatic Center. Individual passes are $60 and family passes are $100. Learn to Swim classes continue to be offered for ages 2 ½ to 12 at BHS Aquatic Center. The first session begins March 19.

Summer Camp: Tiny Tot Camp is the perfect way to introduce toddlers to summer camp. Kids ages 3 to 5 will take part in fun arts, crafts, sports and games in this camp that meets mornings three days a week. The always popular Adventure Camp, for ages 6 to 12, provides a variety of physical, educational, and enrichment activities with a special field trip each week. The new Summer Adventure Series for ages 13 to 16 helps teens develop teamwork and leadership skills while mountain biking, climbing, canoeing and rafting. All camps meet at Brownsburg’s Eagle Elementary School. Registration Summer Camps begin on Saturday, February 18th at Eaton Hall.

All the details about these programs and more are available in the Brownsburg Parks Recreation Guide recently mailed to area residents. Community members can pick up a copy in the Parks office on the second floor of Town Hall, 61 N. Green Street.
