Avon Volleyball moved up in the rankings to #3 in the state of Indiana before travelling to Martinsville last night.  Playing in front of a huge crowd and a very motivated Martinsville team, the Orioles came away with a 25-23, 23-25, 25-18, 25-23 win behind the stellar play of junior Rebekah Strange and her 21 digs.  Avon was also led by sophomore Beth Prince who broke the school record for kills in a match with 31.  Avon also had contributions from sophomore Calle’ Weddle who had a double-double with 16 kills and 13 digs.  Junior Rachel Griffin had 54 assists while Shelby Connor and Emily Graves each contributed one solo block and 6 assist blocks.
