Three male staff members of a Putnam County high school are under arrest for the seduction of a 16-year-old student.

State troopers arrested Nicholas Vester of Lafayette and Craig Rogers of Indianapolis, both 24 years old, and 20-year-old Brandon Largent of Crawfordsville on a felony charge of child seduction. The arrests came after a month of investigation into allegations of inappropriate physical contact with a male student at North Putnam high School.

Investigators believe the men “individually and separately engaged in various acts of a sexual nature with the student” between October 2011 and January of this year. The acts allegedly occurred after hours on school property and also at locations away from the school.

Police say the men also sent text messages and photographs to the teenage victim.

Vester had been a substitute Spanish teacher at North Putnam High School in Greencastle. Rogers is on paid administrative leave from the school, where he’s served as band director. Largent had been a paid school lifeguard, but has submitted his resignation.

They are currently being held without bond and will appear in court Wednesday morning in Putnam County.
